Roma Street Parklands

Waiting for you, in the centre of Brisbane Australia, is a green oasis. Subtropical forests, unique artworks and spectacular vistas have made Roma Street Parklands a popular venue for millions of visitors from all walks of life.

Leisurely guided walks are available twice daily to take you past rocky peninsulas, misty lakes, the Water Wall and ferny groves. You will be delighted by gardens bursting with colour, scents and variety. A Roma Street map will take you there. Or if you choose, just hop on the trackless train for a relaxed 15 minute tour.

All Roma Street Parkland activities are clearly outlined in the Roma Street maps, available from the Activity Centre or at the information booth at the Spectacle Garden.

Being the largest subtropical urban forest around, the Parklands is not only famous in Australia, but also world-wide. Whether you go there to view the gardens, enjoy the well-maintained picnic and barbecue facilities, or lunch at the a la carte Melange café, Roma Street Parklands offer so much more than just green space in Brisbane.

Creative opportunities are plentiful. From small office BBQ's to elegant corporate balls and lavish weddings, Roma Street Parklands has self-contained precincts which can be hired to cater for 20 to 10,000 people. The newly-refurbished Amphitheatre, seating 1000, is perfect for any musical or theatrical performances.

Roma Street Parklands' facilities can support any special event of your choice. Trained first-aid and security officers are on-site daily. Easily accessible, the Parklands is adjacent to Roma Street station. Car parking is available on Roma Street.
